Saagar A. Pandit, M.D., MPH

Saagar Pandit received his medical degree from the University of Connecticut. Between his third and fourth year of medical school, he went on to pursue a Master’s of Public Health at Columbia’s Mailman School of Public Health Accelerated Track for healthcare professionals in New York City given his interest in population health and health disparities. He received his ophthalmology training at New York University, known for its clinically and surgically complex patients seen at a resident-run clinic at Bellevue Hospital. He then went on to pursue a vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at the prestigious Wills Eye Hospital, a clinically and surgically intense two-year training program known to have some of the highest volume in the nation. Dr. Pandit has published in Ophthalmology Retina, the Journal of Vitreoretinal Disease, Current Opinion in Ophthalmology, and Ophthalmic Surgery, Lasers, and Imaging Retina, among others. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with friends and family, running, and traveling to new places.
